Hello and Salutations to all. I apologize profusely, but I am totally at a loss as to how to make proper greetings to everyone.
My name is Jay and I am an American. I happened to StumbleUpon your site here and was intrigued by what I read. It seems that you clearly have a vision of where Geo-Politics are heading, and more to the point you are meeting them there. However I have a few questions that did not seem to be fully addressed in your Frequently Asked Questions section.
Firstly, I was curious about exactly how the Empire of Atlantium supports itself. While I have no doubts that private contributions are of great help, they cannot sustain an independent nation. And without any physical territory you are unable to secure any means of industry. Therefore, logically, the only options left are businesses based in the transfer of information. Please do not misunderstand me and believe that I am saying this is in some way a negative thing. However, if you indeed are dealing solely with information, then all of the states' assets are then liquid, and by that logic you are balanced at the edge of financial ruin at any given time. If you would be so kind as to enlighten me, at least to the extent of any curious tourist, as to how you manage to keep an independent nation established I would be truly grateful.
Secondarily, are you recognized by the other nations of the world? Being as you hold no physical territory, outside of your compound in Australia, why should you be recognized as a nation by other nations? Please understand that I mean no disrespect, I am simply curious.
Thirdly, I read on your official website (also where I got the link to this message board) that one of your official languages is Latin. While I believe this is indeed an excellent way to show the interconnectivity of language in general, and therefore the multitudes of the world, I am at a loss as to how you were able to take a language that has been dead for more than 500 years, and update it to fit into a global society where words like "synergy" and "web blog" are commonplace.
I thank you for your time, and any reply that I receive.
