Greetings from The Hague, The Netherlands, Your Imperial Majesty!
I applied for citizenship a few days ago. I understand by now that it can take a few months or so to process my application. No problem, I look forward to your response. By the way: I got no email or any other sign confirming the reception of my application. Is there any way that you could confirm the reception in good order of my application?
I teach Constitutional Law at Rotterdam University and I learned about Atlantium because a student of mine asked "Is it possible to create or conceive a completely new state?" Of course the correct answer is "yes" (although the pressure of the international community to discorage the creation of new states and other entities is growing) but is was hard to come up with examples. So I got on the internet. Soon after that I discoverd the Principality of Sealand, quite close to the Dutch coast by the way, and I also got a copy of the Lonely Planet guide to micronations. From that point it was easy to discover Atlantium.
As you can see HRH Prince Roy of Sealand has granted me the great honour to give me the right to call myself Lord of Sealand.
Till now I've learned a lot about the history and particularities of Sealand and I hope to learne a lot about Atlantium. I already have the impression that there are some interesting differences between Atlantium and Sealand, besides the obvious point that Sealand is a "traditional" territorial micronation and Atlantium is not, I think.
How are the official relations between Atlantium and the other main micronations?
Kind regards,
Machiel de Vries
